Joshua is not a master technician either but he does the basics unlikely Wilder who never has any control of the fight unless he has his man hurt. This is the truth, I don’t know why you can’t see that. Dude wasn’t even jabbing yesterday, it’s like he had to remind himself to jab. Listen if Wilder was as technically sound as AJ he would be the clear favourite in that match but he’s lacking basic fundamentals and that makes him an accident waiting to happen. I feel very strongly that the accident will happen against AJ. Can Wilder win that fight?? Absolutely and it wouldn’t be a shock unless he actually won the majority of the rounds and dominated. I just feel the logical outcome is Wilder making mistakes like he always does but this time he will be adequately punished.

Leave it at that, my life revolves around AJ yet you’re the one who can’t deal with a differing opinion, you’re actually a bit of a weirdo to be honest. It’s not that deep bro.

Look, in matches with people close in skills and power, you get fights like Wilder-Ortiz, and AJ-Wlad. No body really looks too technical or too good because the disparity in skills and power is not that much. If you cannot see that, I don't know what to tell you.

You are entitled to your logic - which tells you Wilder loses against AJ. I respect that. But saying he was not using his jab, while accurate, does not tell the true story of yesterday's match. Wilder was cautious because of the counter from Ortiz and Ortiz trying to parry Wilder's jab. When you have not yet tasted someone's power, you don't want to be messing around.

This is also why AJ was too careful when he fought Wlad. You cannot just be jabbing and throwing like you are fighting a D-level fighter.

You are correct - I should not have called you a cancer, although I still think you are a Wilder hater. We can agree to disagree. Peace!

I’m not saying he should have pumped out 100 jabs a round but it was under-utilised for sure. He had significant height and reach advantages, if he jabbed with proper technique then it would be very difficult for Ortiz to counter him. But Wilder jabs with his chin up in the air and exposed, notice he couldn’t jab versus Washington either! Joshua actually made good use of his jab against Wlad in the early feel out rounds.

I’m not pulling these criticisms from obscure places, it’s what I and many others see when we watch him. But anyway we can agree to disagree but refrain from calling me a cancer, if you think I’m a hater then fine.

too much made of that. immediately after ortiz onslaught, wilder casually walked back to his corner as if nothing happened.

        check it out. no stumbling.
he didnt need any extra time.

        • AJ will have only 3-4 rounds and if he doesn't knock Wilder out, Wilder will finish he off. AJ is probably better as boxer but he seems to have a problem with stamina and gets exhausted after each spurt and he needs time to recover.
