Are you hoping Wilder catches illness again or something?
Muscles won’t stop Wilder from touching that weak chin of Joshua.
    Once that happens it’s over.
    Really? How so?

What did Ortiz do yesterday that was so technically amazing that AJ is nowhere near that level?

He parried the jab and looked for the straight left over and over.

    Wow. What amazing technique!

Don’t believe the BS Lou Dibella wants you to believe.

This guy actually tried to tell me Luis Ortiz was better than Klitschko! Hahahahaha

    • I make Joshua a firm favourite tbh.

Wilder has awkwardness and power, I can see him getting the stoppage. But if I was gonna bet I would bet on AJs tighter more technically correct shots to reach their target first. His ability to shorten up his hooks and uppercuts at mid and short range is very impressive for a big man. Wlad could not cope, I cant see Wilder coping either.

On top of that Wilder drops his non punching hand every time he throws a punch, Joshua has a nice catch and shoot counter (like he dropped Takam with), and a few other counters in his pocket. If he stays composed and focussed in the exchanges he will starch Wilder imo.

If he doesnt, then Wilder can absolutely smash him out the park.

He could well do, but unless he puts his lights out, I can easily see Joshua laying Wilder out when DW is going for the finish. He is so wild.

There is a reason people teach young fighters to keep their non punching hand up. There is a reason they teach you not to flare your elbows out.

          they both have heart

the best part about this fight is no judges needed.
Wilder will need the help of the ref for some extra time to recover when Joshua hits him flush..he got it last night but will he get the help if the fight is in the UK ?

          • AJ gots way more skills and ive said WilDer would never beat him, but im not so sure now, WilDer has really good speed, punch and heart, AJ look slow vs the old Klit, WilDer is looking for that one opening

but, can wilder afford to eat shots from joshua for 3 rounds? i don't think so. all wilder has is a right hand. people are acting as if wilder has tua's chin 'cause he survived that seventh round. dude was all over the place.

I spoke in perfect English what I thought, that fight could go either way, it is ******ed for you to claim one guy will wipe the other out when it's clearly two formidable champion level opponents

Wilder was missing by a mile with the right so it's not hard to avoid.. And he didn't miss because of Ortiz's boxing ability.. He just missed because he times it wrong.. Ortiz didn't even move but Wilder missed.

All AJ needs to do is nullify that.. Watch the fight how open Wilder's chin is.. He gets put to sleep mark my word.
Wilder is akward and a pure puncher...a rarity. You need to be very proficient to avoid his shots. He has proved this in this fight to me. His punches come from weird angles and from across the ring, it is easier said then done. If Aj can do this that is quite an accomplishment. I think it will be a great fight if AJ's team will let him take it.

Not because Wilder won or anything, just because it was a real thriller of a fight. This is what boxing is about. The edge of your seat excitement.

About Wilder, I never thought much of his lunging head movement when he throws but seeing how Ortiz had such a hard time countering him solid, I'll give him credit for having a strength in that aspect. I can see an orthodox guy like AJ having a hard time adapting to that.

That is word for word how I see it. The action was what one gets watching a pure puncher and a puncher boxer who can operate in a similar capacity and when they went at it there were always consequences...it was very exciting. True story, I was upstairs in the bedroom and the family was asleep. had the headphones on but could not contain myself! Start yelling! fly up out of the chair! lol the wife and kids down the hall are like 'Dad!!?" Thats how I know it was a good fight.

What I like about Wilder is that he took a smart tact: Knowing he was never going to be a boxer, seeing his gift for power, he went right to the source and developed into a pure puncher. Like Haye, he has become an ambush preditor. Unlike Haye he has such reach that he can pretty much reach anyone from any place in the ring. And when he catches you he comes in looping...this makes it hard to see where the punches are coming from and to stop them.

Wilder's whole approach is predicated on being able to unload those punches and its not luck that allows him to do so. He has developed his jab into what Dempsey used to advocate: A ramrod where you try to take the guy's head off. So he has his jab and punch and he has his reach. Hes getting smarter and smarter with tactics, even outfoxing ortiz. Ortiz was trying to time him...its how Ortiz got his knockdown. But Wilder adjusted and when Ortiz tried that again he pushed Ortiz back and came around with his punches so they were harder to time.

In other words Wilder is starting to make adjustments in the ring... I like his progress and his approach. Marciano was as akcward in his day...people grew to respect it as a quality that contributed to his success and i suspect they will do likewise with Wilder.

                    • Everyone that Bomber has faced as a professional are better technicians than him...AJ will be no different

Ortiz is a lefty...let's not act like lefties have not always been problematic for right handed rumblers throughout history

Bomber will look more impressive against AJ than he did against Ortiz imo

Ortiz probably beats AJ...Styles rule everything
