True, mad props to him. You actually have fools on here saying he ducked Whyte to fight Ortiz cause he could of gotten more money. How the heck do you duck to fight a more accomplished better fighter even for less money. That should be applauded. What other champ is doing that?

If only Ortiz had a bit of more patience... he was winning. Though the judges were giving it to Wilder.

They were telling him 'if it happens again', meaning the temple shot that put him down, ' stay down to recover' meaning don't rush to your feet and get caught with another shot.

Notice that Wilder almost falls after big punches to avoid return fire

Props to Ortiz but how sad is it the robbery was in already

That’s boxing ladies n gentleman wilder sudds probably still won if pro had stopped him in the 7th, dr would have probably called it a foul

If Wilder doesn't fight Dylan Whyte, or Jarrell miller or povetkin next, wilder is being so protected to cash in on a Joshua fight.

Wilder wants 50-50, but if he was serious about fighting AJ he would have taken the same Parker got.

Joshua is a -$400 favorite over Deontay Wilder right now. Easy money. Joshua jab alone wins the fight by a KO.

Wilder haters.... Please take the night off. Just don't log on for 24 hours and let the man get his props.

Ortiz had this fight won. Just working his tail off. Wilder was shown on his stool after round 8 and he was bewildered. Ortiz was firing on all cylinders. I had Wilder taking rounds 5&6 and had Ortiz winning every other one.

But Wilder stayed on his feet. He kept moving, even if he was a tad flat footed. His defense is horrid, but he managed to keep most of the harder punches by Ortiz from hitting clean by moving and forcing Ortiz to lunge.

He stayed alive, stayed alert, and did his one trick with his right handed pony and saved his career.

Great fight, great efforts by both men. I so am impressed. Hope Ortiz still keeps fighting. He has a lot to offer
