Calling it now, Wilder doesn't see the 10th.

I fear that Ortiz, who is damn near 70, will be too slow to pull the trigger and get caught early. If he weathers the early storm, I can certainly see him drowning Wilder in the later rounds in a methodical manner. He's by far the more skilled technician but it''ll be avoiding that right hand at all costs, and a southpaw, the threat will be there all night.

Ortiz should wins this with little discomfort. Wilder is so fast though he may catch him with a vicious punch.

Wilder at 215 is going to have a difficult fight ( imop is to small at 6'7 ) for the caliber Ortiz is . If Ortiz ACTUALLY goes ALL in on him ,he wins !
Have you seen Ortiz's resume? You think Wilder's is bad? Ortiz's is atrocious. Ortiz is completely unproven as a pro. He is a fat unproven 38 year old fighter. The last guy he fought was 16-5-1. He has been fighting club level fighters for the last 8 years. How could have he possibly grown as a fighter?Last edited by elfag; 03-03-2018, 01:51 PM.

I remember all you guys telling me Klitchko was too old ,past it , done .
Not only does Ortiz have less wear and tear than Wlad had but he just fought a tune up fight which helps immensely no matter how long it goes ( with the exception of anything under 2 minutes ) and Wilder is not Joshua .
Wilders resume isnt fighting ,and outside Joshua you wont find a more dangerous fighter than Ortiz ...... IF he comes to win !

You have a weird perception of FAT . In no way shape or form does Wilder 214 or anything below 220 benfit him here . . Again Ortiz resume isnt fighting .Last edited by juggernaut666; 03-03-2018, 02:02 PM.

Its about making MUCH more money and Ortiz isnt nearly as marketable as Wilder or that fight of U.K vs U.S champions in itself .

To me the central question of this fight is whether Wilder will remain a one handed fighter. Ortiz can avoid one punch all night. If Wilder is able to show he has put it together enough to work off his jab, and throw combos it may be a good fight. If it goes to the cards unfortunately the judges will probably give it to Wilder unless Ortiz wins by a great margin.
But there is a very good chance that Ortiz exposes Wilder.
JUgs you will remember what they say in training..."during a crisis we all revert to our lowest level of attained skill." While Ortiz has been in boxing rings for a long time, Wilder is a relative newcomer and if he starts getting wild because he is being hit and forgets to do the things he has improved upon... It will be a long night for him.
