Already making excuses because he knows he will lose?

Wilder knows he goes down if a real contender lands some power punches..

It isn't that wild of a claim. Wlad was a long standing champ, but also had a weak chin and was a boring, repetitive boxer who dominated an extremely weak HW pool. Now that he's retired suddenly we act like he was this monster champ who was a world beater, yet before Joshua everyone hated watching Clinchko matches.

Well, we know everything about Vlad, but we don`t know **** about Wilder, because ha fought bums only so far, this is his first real fight , Vlad was beating guys like Brewster, Byrd, Ibragimov, Rahman, Haye, Chagaev, Chambers..lets see IF Wilder can beat Ortiz.

Vlad was master of his business, you can say he was boring, but that was his style , Wilder is hurt against everybody he faces.

Wilder being more and more respectful as the fight bets closer. Huh. Wonder if he is pumping up his opponent to look good so long if he wins....

His great amateur record is the biggest load of BS I've ever heard, given the mal-nourishment in Cuba there's probably only about 20 people who grow to be over 6 foot so most of Ortiz's wins will be over total bums. Even Wilder managed to go the Olympics and get a bronze.
Weak Era, Klitschko is lucky he fought Joshua.

The champions of the past are overrated, it has to be said.

He is partially correct, but given the fact that wilder has shown himself to be just another pathetic racist, you have to take anything he says with a pillar of salt.

As far as an inside game, Ortiz is clearly superior to wlad, but as far as the jab, straight rights, hooks, power, and foot work, Klitschko was superior.

People put too much into skills, you have to be able apply them on the night and on big occasions.....which is where there is no comparison between Ortiz and Klitschko, there's also size, power and other factors that dictate if you can apply those skills.

I'd bet on Klitschko sparking Ortiz for a similar reason I think Wilder will, speed, power and athleticism negates the skills, as well as the size difference.
