Maybe one day you guys would realize weight is not a huge factor between EVENLY MATCHED heavyweights,AJ could just as easily gas out while Wilder is throwing 100 punches a rd because hes lighter,& Wilder surely won't come in that light vs AJ,hes likely doing it strategically because of Ortiz's Amatuer pedigree since it makes him easier to catch.


But either way Wilder hits harder than AJ for sure & he throws way more punches while not gassing like AJ does,Wilder is far faster,AJ only has slight weight advantage & possibly better defense.

Whilst I really don't see why Joshua was brought in to this conversation I do want to say one thing... you've said Wilder throws way more punches... that's not actually true. That's just some notion you have because the popular view here is that Joshua is a big stiff robot that gasses easy.

Compubox stats have shown that Joshua throws just as many punches per round as Wilder does, see below:

Anyway as for the actual topic... Wilder's team must be quite worried about being caught by an Ortiz counter and thus they're trying to come in light to keep moving and keep Ortiz out of range.
