Comments Thread For: Wilder Won't Satisfy Some Critics Even if He Destroys Ortiz

By Keith Idec - NEW YORK Welcome to Deontay Wilder's world, where you're simultaneously an applauded risk-taker headed toward a truly dangerous fight and a well-promoted opportunist preying on a vulnerable veteran who's neither as good nor young as advertised. However you view Wilder, the result of his fight Saturday night against Luis Ortiz will help prove what you've been saying, posting and/or Tweeting up until this important point in his heavily scrutinized career...

Not true. Should Wilder destroy Ortiz the critics won't have a leg to stand on. This fight is the real deal.

      Excuses will be:

      He beat an old man
      He's ducking AJ
Sure, he knocked out Ortiz, but come on...he was swinging like crazy
Ha ha ha more people watched AJ fight Molina

There is a difference between haters and critics, critics will show at least some respect depending on how the fight goes.

Haters are going to hate and will find a reason to, a critic may bring up the same reason and use it as a factors to dole out credit but will still give something while a hater will use the reason as a club to beat any credit being given to death.

It cool either way though it make being a fan of his all the more entertaining and enjoyable, and people who don't like him will likely get what they want in the end because that is how all offensive heavies go out.

Wilder fights Haymon controlled fighters. He isn't allowed to fight no haym controlled fighters why????i think we know why...

Why is WILDER willing to fight Ortiz but not Povetkin? Hmmmmm because Ortiz is controlled by Haymon.

Why won't bumsquad fight Dylan WHYTE fir a record high payday? Same reason....

So let's cut the bs and call it for what it is. Nbody trusts al.haymon and this garbage talking half wit with no substance. Remember an empty pot makes the most noise.

The haters love to hate.....its imbedded in their DNA from so much practice. Those guys will NEVER give the guy props - its a given! They WORSHIP AJ & his money first promoter Hearn.......AJ AVOIDED Ortiz,.... Wilder for YEARS wanted em' both - go figure.

Every boxer has harsh critics who will never admit a fighter they hate is better than they think no matter what they do in the ring. Wilder has more than most, though when looking at why that is Dibella, Finkel and Haymon's are at fault, so it's kind of hypocritical of Dibella to highlight this when this is a situation of his own creation having protected Wilder and their investment by facing Wilder off against sub par opposition for so long.

But a Wilder win will show every rational boxing fan that Wilder is world class and a genuine threat. It's been a long time coming and hopefully we finally get to see how good or bad Wilder really is.

Will he get credit for beating an 87 year old past-his-prime tomato can who can't use his PEDs? Ya'll tell me...

So he turned pro at 80 years old?

And at the amateur championships in 2005, when he clearly looked like a young man in his mid 20s, he was actually 74 years old?
