Deontay Wilder - The Journey So Far (Sky Sports Documentary)

With the fight around the corner I'm getting hyped! Nice to see Sky Sports make a documentary leading up to it.. Shame showtime didn't do an all access for it, there has been no promotion for this fight at all but it should be a good fight.

Wilder and the Charlos have been on mainstream television shows promoting the fight.

One ESPN showing that's all. We didn't even get a press conference until today. It deserves its own all access and at least a 2 city press conference.

The Charlos appeared on the very popular Steve Harvey morning show to promote the fight.

Okay thank you for your opinion about All Access and the two city press tour.

Some of the most successful experts in the industry decided that wouldn't be cost effective.

How many fights that aren't on PPV get All Access and a press tour?

That is exactly why Wilder is unknown.. You need to put money in to these guys to make them stars.. You get the money back in the long run because he should be making 10/15 mill per fight. Even Dillian Whyte vs Browne had a proper press conference, gloves are off and behind the gloves episodes.

Wilder is Showtime's biggest star and one of the biggest draws in US boxing. He has over 630,000 followers on instagram.

Just because AJ is a much bigger star and boxing is much more popular in the UK doesn't mean Wilder is unknown. Unless your position is that every fighter in the US is unknown other than Canelo and GGG.

There are thousands and thousands of fighters. How many are making 10-15 million per fight? Two? So by your standards unless Wilder is one of the two most popular fighters in the world, he's unknown and mismanaged? What does that say about every other fighter?

He's the heavyweight champ of America (the mecca of boxing) yet he earns less than WW's. The heavyweight champ should always be the top dog and top guy in boxing both financially and popularity wise.

But why would you blame Wilder for that when the heavyweight champion hasn't been the top dog financially and popularity wise in decades?

Yes, SKY has shown Wilder's fight since the Szpilka fight and will broadcast the Ortiz fight as well.
