This was a real moment for Kovalev. He must have gotten agitated and didn’t stick to the “I was robbed, he hit me low” script. I don’t ever recall a fighter saying he was beaten by mind games. Dude is a complete mental midget and a bully. And when he ran into somebody that wasn’t scared of him. And flipped the script and bullied him, he folded.

Apart from their first fight which was gifted to Ward, Kovalev gassed out in their 2nd outing. Yes he was clearly fouled by Ward but Kovalev should have responded in kind. Ward is not only skilled he’s probably one of the most intelligent boxers in the game. It doesn’t appear that Kovalev is on the same level in that regard. Either way time to get over it.

Really take a good look at the fight. Alot of those so called low blows were on the belt line. Kovalev knows the truth he's just too prideful to admit that someone especially a black fighter was about to make him quit. Ask anybody that has boxed those body shots will have you looking for the back door. Shi+ is no joke. Kov knows the truth everybody that saw the 2nd fight knows the reality of the fact. Kovalev was shook and was on his way out. There is no shame in loosing to one of the best fighters of his era. Hate is deep tho.

Some good posts here, truth is Ward has exposed him. Whether there's another fighter around atm with the skill set to put Kov in a similar position, I don't know. But if they do I wouldn't be surprised if he quits again.

I made a decision, i will quit visiting boxingscene. I dont want to support this kind of nonsense journalism anymore. If a fighter farts, thats enough to get a new headline here. In the past you had to at least say anything of substance to get media attention. Maybe some of you may think about that. What is the sense visiting a site where half of the fighters speaking have the iq of a banana (ok, the users too) and then - more or less - argue about if this or that fighter thinks this or thinks that, if he is racist or not, if he is ducking someone else or not ps.
