Exactly this. Many real fighters like Lebedev, Margarito etc have suffered horrendous eye injuries none of them took a knee, b*tched out and quit.

Yes are absolutely right. Kell Brook fought GGG at full strength; At his physical peak before there was ever the slightest detection of decline in his skills. However, Canelo Alvarez didn't. The moment he noticed some slight slippage in Golovkin, he didn't hesitate at the challenge to challenge GGG in the ring. He waited until he saw some corrosion in his skills until he agreed to fight him. Which in my opinion makes him a coward.

I like Canelo better in every way. They both fought GGG and Canelo held him to a draw and was never in danger of being knocked out. Brook won a round or two and then was crushed. I have never seen any quit in Canelo. I think Canelo would easily KO Brook if they fought.
