NSB Pick 'em 2018 Redux

We're the dudes playing the long game, man. We let all the hares rush on ahead with their x3s, but they better be keeping one eye on the rearview...

Very true waaaay to early for anybody to be bragging.But as far as x3 the most you can hope for is 270(really 225 because detail is not something that can be really counted on)I got 2 used already but got 90 and 75 so I'm happy with that so far.Knowing when its a sure thing(outcome,method) is also a skill and was surprised so many let Spence vs Peterson go by without using a x I think that was a mistake.Also last weeks was ALMOST another sure one Bivolv Barrera I just could not resist I was little off on detail only got 75 but that's ok.I think to use a x3 you need to KNOW the winner and be ALL BUT SURE of method.My 2 cents

Yup, that's the plan. Just waiting on BIGPOPPAPUMP to move the leaderboard over and then one of us will aim to get it updated with the Groves -Eubank and Rungvisai - Estrada results.

You ain't wrong, man, and you've made a very good start. No-one has got all 7 picks correctly and you've used your multipliers almost as well as you could have... I for sure regret not going all in on Spence, but that's pretty much the only one of the Pick 'ems I regarded as a sure thing.

Don't expect me to sit back as a player though - I'm gonna be scrupulously fair as a PICK EM CREW member, but as Koba if you're #1 then I'm gunning for your ass... ha ha

I would not expect anything less.But I'm not sure the leaderboard was correct when we started as far as #right and #picked I brought it up to bob but he was already on his way out.Now it really don't matter but if you look at some its kinda hard to see how they got 6 right and only have the points they have.Now its WAY to much work(and really don't matter)to go back and fix from beginning I KNOW I cant do it.But one was Szez hard to see how he got 6/7 and used x3 once and x2 twice and has only 175?There are one or two more that look odd but it really don't matter as long as points and Xs are correct which seem to be from what I can tell.Maybe their all right but I know he was off on a couple before you updated.

I x3 on the mid I overestimated Bivol just a LITTLE.Not because of the later ko but he is a little less polished then I thought.He is a little heavy handed but not as much as I thought I KNEW he more of a sharp puncher then heavy.And Barrera should not drop a spot and I know ill be rooting for him to get another good payday or 2.He is a good fighter but Bivol I thought was special I think he prob will be but he still had a little more to learn last week.

Nah. There was definitely mistakes... certainly in the number of picks, correct and streaks columns cos when I was going through some of them just didn't add up. One problem was that Bob appears to have inadvertently changed what columns he was putting what information at some point in updating for one of the fights and left some people with more 'correct' than 'total'. I've done my best to iron it out, and there were still some mistakes left where we had scores which were impossible to achieve with the number of picks. - Ganondorf was one of these I think - but it the main after I've PMed people we've been able to work out the problem and it's usually the score that is correct and the 'total' or 'correct' pick #s that were wrong (as in your case).

Either way inputting this amount of data there's bound to be some mistakes which is why I've posted the old table and all the points that have been accrued since - that way anyone can check.

And maybe - one day - I'll think about going through all the old data -ha ha- but I ain't in any hurry.

EDIT: And Szefs score could only be right if he used his x3 on his one wrong pick - which would kinda blow for him I guess ha ha - but maybe I'll ask him..

EDIT: And actually now I'm thinking about it, I've this sinking feeling that Bob credited me with a successful x2 pick in one of the first fights this year that I didn't remember putting a mult. on. As a player at the time I didn't even bother checking just accepted the points and kept my head down... but now my position's changed a bit, dammit. I may have to do this ish...

Maybe put up a poll? Say we're doing Garcia - Lipinets anyway and then an option for each of the three or none of 'em? What you reckon siablo14?

Let the poll run for tonight and then set up the pick em tomorrow based on the results. We just need a general feel for what the players want.
