Deontay Wilder won't hesitate to tell you about his pulverizing power or why he is the best heavyweight in the world. Don't take that to mean that the supremely confident WBC champion isn't well aware of his weaknesses. Wilder understands that any boxer is beatable, particularly within the dangerous division where gigantic, strong opponents attempt to knock you unconscious.

One of his flaws will be a hole in his face after Ortiz lands first punch

The first time he boxes a good boxer, he'll know his flaws!!

Wilder has always been upfront about his boxing limitations.

Yes he has many flaws but that equalizer of his nullifies them all. Gerald Washington was out boxing him for six rounds, Artur Szpilka more than held his own against him with steady movement and an awkward style for nine rounds but in the final analysis, Wilder's power proved to be too much. His power so unpredictable, dangerous and explosive that you'll never know what swing he will throw in order to finish the job.

Wilder isn’t as technically flawed as his critics claim. He’s actually pretty good at controlling distance with his jab. He’s solid defensively. And most of the time, he throws straight punches. Generally, the only time he loses his fundamentals is when he has a guy hurt. Obviously, it’s a bad flaw because just because a guy is hurt doesn’t mean he’s gonna stop punching. So Wilder is putting himself at risk to be caught. And he doesn’t finish as effectively as he could because he usually smothers his own offense. But the notion that he goes out there fighting like he’s a tough man competition participant instead of a world class fighter from bell to bell is a little absurd.

The shots Wilder is throwing in your GIF are impressive. The guy is 100% fast-twitch muscle, a specimen. I don’t think too many fighters could handle his power for long. I’m hoping Ortiz manages to avoid a big shot, while landing some bombs of his own. I’ll be very surprised if this fight goes to the cards.

Yeah I am a fan, he is far from a technician but he is tough as hell and he is there to fight.

He also gives guys like me who started boxing late and aren’t the most coordinated in the ring hope
