It's about adding more things to the preparation. We're going to add to the arsenal and add more conditioning, punches and aggression.

that is what I hoped..... because that will fk Golovkin's plan A, B, and C..... which are all the same

In the Marines we called that retreating!
It's boxing biitch! Not running or retreating as you called it.
That's why the ring is 20x20 feet so you can use it to your advantage.
If they didn't want Fighters to use lateral movement and move to stay away from your opponents punches then they would make the ring 5x5 feet. Think about it dumbass!

If you know both fighters, you can see that Golovkin stayed a half step back when Canelo was on the ropes, showing respect for Canelo's uppercut when fighting off the ropes. So you had what was almost a stalemate on the ropes at times where Golovkin was just out of range of Canelo's uppercut, but the half step back meant Golovkin couldn't do his usual body work or work like he usually did with the opponent on the ropes.

Only way this stalemate changes is if Golovkin decides to eat the uppercut to get the body shots in, else Canelo stops backing up to the ropes. Don't know what changes they will make, but it looked to me that Canelo always span off the ropes to his left, so if Golovkin could move slightly to the right he might be able to catch him more on the way out. Too much to the right and Canelo spins off the other way of course, but it sttruck me he had a preference to go to the left, so Golovkin needs to play to that preference.

As for hurting, they both felt each others punches whatever they say, and both have great chins, but in the power stakes, its hard not to give Golovkin the edge, so more likely that Canelo felt it a bit more in there. Anyway, they both know what to expect in there now, and we have yet to see the psychological impact of that in the second fight. Either Canelo figures he can take it and goes to land more of his own (advantage Canelo if he really can take it), else is even more shy of getting tagged and even more defensive (advantage Golovkin) - we'll see after the first punch lands.

Got a feeling Canelo will be more aggressive in the early rounds to get past Golovkin's jab, and try land something or enough punches to make Golovkin less willing to move forward. But he'll eat a few too, and there is a risk that if he can't stop Golovkin's willingness to move forward, the fight will slip back into the first fight and we end up going to the cards again (more arguments).

You know that's what it is. Most of the white guys don't know shet about boxing. They should stick to that **** shet UFC!.
I've yet to meet a white guy who'll give Canelo any props...

Canelo is right. I've noticed that too. Even though I had GGG winning the fight; I have to admit he was a lot more tentative and tight than usual in his fight with Canelo. He wasn't his typical aggressive self.

Sure he put on a lot of pressure but he didn't throw as many punches; Especially the typical power shots to the head that we are normally accustomed to seeing him throwing. He was more gun shy and and cautious than usual.

Perhaps it was largely due to Canelo's traps and counters. He was mostly jabbing to the head and throwing body shots.

Canelo has respectable power but for him to say he hurt and scared GGG is hilarious. Canelo is smoking crack rock if he believes that. Golovkin came to fight... Canelos tactic was to survive and hope to land a big counter punch that would win him the fight. He did land a couple big shots unfortunately for him GGG walked right through em like it was nothing. That's not saying Golovkin dosnt respect Canelos power or skill...if that was the case he would have completely opened up with some wild offensive attacks but he never did. IMO both guys failed to deliver on what they promised. The fight was good but overall looking back at it.... it did not live up to the massive build up and hype. Having said that Golovkin clearly did more the enough to win.
