"If you know both fighters, you can see that Golovkin stayed a half step back when Canelo was on the ropes, showing respect for Canelo's uppercut when fighting off the ropes. So you had what was almost a stalemate on the ropes at times where Golovkin was just out of range of Canelo's uppercut, but the half step back meant Golovkin couldn't do his usual body work or work like he usually did with the opponent on the ropes." Excellent analysis! That's exactly what I saw too!

Nonsense.
GGG was very cautious mainly BEFORE he felt Canelo's power. When he felt Canelo's power wasn't all that, GGG pressed the action and he forced it a little too much so he looked sloppy in his efforts.
But GGG knew counters were coming and Canelo was trying to set traps.
GGG didn't take enough risks early on, but Canelo didn't risk anything and fought like pacing himself and not gassing out before the final bell was his first priority while winning was his second priority.Comment

i didn't see red balls take any risks in the 1st fight in fact i have never seen red balls take risks in any fight basically red balls is just a running yellow dog . his main claim to fame is the hype job issuing from the mouth of a drunken cross dresserComment

I’m not white, and Canelo was not all that. Especially after talking all that masa, “we don’t **** around”. I get that his game plan was to be more boxer than puncher, but he realized that Golovkin is not Kahn from 147, or Josesito Lopez from 140. It’s smart that he changed his style based on the opponent in front of him but let’s not pretend he put on some type of clinic in there. He gave some good shots and took some good shots, but he definitely wasn’t the super macho man he made himself to be. He turned into Erislandy Lara. Canelo is pretty stationary but does have good upper body movement. For a guy with his size to be elusive like that is impressive. But he simply needs to throw more, just like Lara needed to throw more. But if he does throw more, he obviously opens himself up and wastes precious energy. He can’t afford to do that with his stamina issues. I think he would be better off coming in a bit lighter without putting on so much weight overnight.Comment

You might be a boxing fan but in all reality you don't know shet about boxing if you think Canelo was running backwards.
It's boxing, not brawling you fool! Hit and not get hit! You're one of them dumb fuccs who thinks a boxing fight is to stand in the middle of the ring and trade punches till one of them gets knocked out.
You have no clue what boxing is all about!
They believe "Rocky" is real. That a 185lb guy can take punches all night from an undefeated Heavyweight Champion, and still keep coming forward with NO defense.
