Why not at least take a shot to get Spence? He's a legit throwback fighter. Willing to fight anyone and he beats them up. I hear he has his head on straight and good people around him. He's got all the makings of a star with staying power.

He's got the third most talented roster behind Top Rank and PBC.
Definitely ahead of Main Events and Mayweather promotions.
He's got a few prospects that are gonna be a force to reckon with in a few years like Diego de la Hoya, Vergil Ortiz, Ryan Garcia, and JoJo Diaz to name a few....
Golden Boy promotions are definitely in a good spot right now..

its disappointing to see the inactivity of spence. the guy is in his peak prime with little to no fanbase and fights as if hes already a superstar. thats the PBC delusion. all those guys think they are money mayweather. peterson in january and nothing else til june. five freakin months to prep for an unknown bum. gtfoh. he should've face any mando in march. he should be fighting 4-5 times a year. all these PBC guys are deluded. look at what oscar has done with canelo so maybe he would do better with spence.
look at how spence ******ly declined a cotto fight. that was an imbecile move. cotto would've been his biggest platform ever. but because he's loyal to haymon he turned it down. just like bonehead broner turning down $40 million from roc nation. spence is being maneuvered horribly. oscar is right.

They definitely are stacking up for the future..

I LOVE that Spence is the future, showing that intelligent boxers can self manage. You're going to see this more, and more, and more. He did an interview last year, "I said look, this is what so and so got paid, so pay me the same--and they did. Wasn't hard." He was smart enough to know if he's shown on national tv, AND HE PERFORMS, that he'll get the big fights. He just lets the other promotor or the station do the leg work. Because in reality, he's (and ALL boxers) doing the heavy lifting. And promoters loves thems a big slice of the pie. Oscar doesn't like that his pimp hand isn't strong enough to wrangle a ho. He knows if Canelo gets a 2nd loss to go with the 2 draws he already has, that it damages his PPV money. Oscar isn't the brightest, but he's also no dummy. When Floyd was training for Pacquiao, he said Spence was the future of that division--and he even had the black eye to prove it.
