Nobody said Stiverne was the most important champion, clearly that was Klitschko. But that doesn't change that Stiverne had the most important championship. For many years of Klitschko's reign, the WBC was held by his older brother, who most experts favored to beat him. So Klitschko wasn't even considered the top heavyweight until his brother vacated the WBC title.
Please name the last time a WBC champion was stripped for not fighting for 4 months. This is so idiotic it makes it hard to believe your posts are serious. All 17 divisions would be vacant very quickly if you stripped champions for not fighting for 4 months. Did you just start watching boxing yesterday or something?
Oh god. Your post is getting even worse. Still can't tell if you're serious, but man this is bad.
The year Wilder won his title, Jennings was an HBO fighter, lost both of his fights, and then didn't fight anybody for two years.
So Wilder was supposed to seek out a fighter who wasn't with his network, who was coming off two losses, who didn't seem particularly interested in fighting anybody. Okay. Again, did you start watching boxing yesterday? This is just crazy talk.
Jennings agreed to fight Klitschko on HBO before Wilder was even champion. Win or lose, HBO owed him another fight after that. Jennings was brutally knocked out and then sat out for two years. When in the world would this fight have made sense? Haymon is going to go seek out a fighter coming off two straight losses, that isn't signed with him, that nobody wants to see anymore? Ridiculous.
Oh wow. So now they're OVER REPORTING their purses, to pay MORE taxes and MORE sanctioning fees?!!
Thank for being one of the dumbest people I've ever encountered on this site. Goodbye.
So with Stiverne on the shelf for over 4 months, he should have been stripped.
I just brought up Bryant Jennings as a challenger for the WBC title. You can't tell me that Duhaupas and Szpilka are more valid opponents than Jennings is...especially when Jennings beat Szpilka. I just can't accept that.

I'm not just talking about his appearances on Showtime, I'm including the fights that are on NBC as well. However, I would not put it past those in the PBC to over-exaggerate the earnings of their fighters.
