Funny how when he does it it's boxing but when it was mayweather and Lara doing it to him it was "running".

I like Canelo but I feel like his head is getting too big definitely been coming off as an ass since the last fight. Literally gave GGG no credit whatsoever before or after the fight. Sees nothing he did wrong and insisted he won 7 or 8 rounds "easily". Sounding like kovalev after the ward losses

Sanchez is just trying to bait Canelo into standing and trading that's all lol He's trying to get under his skin that's what Sanchez is supposed to do. But Canelo is right you don't just brawl all twelve rounds. You have to switch it up that's the beauty of the sweet science. You box some, move, use angles etc. That's why John Molina, Ruslan and Lemieux can't hang with top fighters in their division despite their power. Canelo should win he's in his prime still while GGG should be on the decline. If Canelo is as good as he believes he is, he should win in impressive fashion that's what make greats, great.

Sanchez is a good trainer, but not for every kind of boxers. The style of boxing that Abel Sanchez instills in his fighters basically clicks good with those boxers who really can punch. Golovkin and Gassiev are the best examples of Sanzhez work as a trainer. Those guys who can`t punch would be better off with another trainer.

I like both guys and just want more action in the rematch. I expected more than we got in the first fight and I hope they both really try to take it out of the judges hands this time around.

I don't believe Golovkin has slipped because of age. He is a comfortable middleweight who naturally loves fighting. He appears to have equanimity and an inherent ease.

Sanchez needs to work on Golovkins bodywork, which has gone missing in the last couple of years, which is frustrating because GGG is an excellent combination puncher when he wants to be.

There's a chance Golovkin is ignoring Sanchez's advice, but I've observed other fighter's within his stable and they all seem to get away from their natural strengths.
I was about to defend Sanchez until I read your post. Really made me think. I will have to pay more attention to Sanchez trained fighters. Are they "over coached", and not tuned to their natural abilities?

                  Really interesting argument.

Wow. A second post that made me think in this thread.

That HAS bothered me about Alvarez, though I really did not make the connection what it was until I read your comment. Alvarez honestly hasn't given Golovkin any props, and did whine about Lara running for months after that fight. Solid, solid observation on a boxer I truly enjoy watching.

I've always thought that about Canelo. He has a carefully constructed image as a Mexican hero of the people, but when I've seen him and read about him in interviews I just get the feeling it's fake humility, which I really don't like.
He hasn't given any credit to GGG like you said, and I don't remember him giving much to Floyd either, who totally outclassed him.

And also he said Lara was running from him all night and making it a boring fight, but when he does it to GGG, it's now sophisticated boxing. Very hypocritical.
