You obviously know nothing about boxing and how the business works, cooksuker. Just stay behind that keyboard, internet thugging. BTW, stop calling people names you don't call them to their face. GGG likely wins and the WBC knows that. But from the day the dispute started with Canelo, the WBC has tried to resolve it. Doesn't do anybody any good for the #1 belt and the #1 star to be feuding. Especially when the #1 star is in the wrong. It makes the sport look bad. Glad this has been resolved.

It's no secret that Canelo fought at catchweights against a number of opponents. Meanwhile there were definitely a few good fights for him against prime opponents at 154. Not sure what worthy opponents Canelo really beat in their prime and at a normal weight class.

How is the #1 star in the wrong?

See the fighters have the power not the belts. Ban all belts besides one or just keep the Ring and lineal belts!

Canelo asked GGG to step aside multiple times. The last time GGG agreed to step aside, Canelo promised in writing to agree to face GGG within a certain amount of days or give up the title. When the WBC wanted to hold a purse bid under the terms of the agreement Canelo had made in writing with GGG, Canelo vacated to avoid fighting GGG.

Which is fine. It's his right. It's a duck, but it's his right. I don't blame him for wanting to delay that fight.

But, in order to save face, Canelo tried to convince the public that the WBC had wronged him in some way. Scheduling a purse bid during his trial, etc. But it was Canelo that had made the promises to GGG that allowed Canelo to delay the fight further to begin with. The WBC's hands were tied. They had no say in the matter. There was a legally binding agreement between Canelo, GGG and the WBC that was negotiated to allow the Khan fight to begin with.

Fighters don't go to purse bids. So that excuse made no sense. But all Canelo needed was plausible deniability to placate his fans. Which is why it's best for this situation to be left in the past because when you analyze what Canelo did, he was clearly in the wrong. He promised to fight GGG and broke his promise. He forced the WBC to strip him and then painted the WBC as the bad guy. It was really unfair to the WBC. They didn't do anything wrong.

Yes yes, we can all list a thousand things they've done wrong over the years, which is why fans take the fighter's side in a dispute with a sanctioning body, but in this instance, the WBC did nothing wrong and they were used by Canelo as a scapegoat.

Look you ******! Wether it was a catchweight or not, who gives a fucc! The opponent agreed to it, he was also allowed to fight at the same catchweight so what's the big deal? Where's the advantage for Canelo in the catchweight??
Did you forget Canelo beat Lara and Trout in their prime??
And he vacated the junior middleweight belt to move up in weight. Fighters do that all the time.
And he fought the toughest fighter in the division after moving up in weight. He didn't cherrypick and take an easy fight.
So where's the harm in vacating the belt at 154???

got rid of the WBO to fight the son of the Mexican legend at 164.5 lbs I believe. there was plenty of talent at 154 at the time in Andrade Charlos Lara potential Cotto rematch.

Quit lying fool! Canelo never asked Triple g to step aside! He was allowed an optional defense after capturing the belt from Cotto. That's when he fought Khan in his optional fight. Then he vacated cause the WBC was trying to force Canelo to pay Triple g 45% of the purse.
As far as Canelo promising to fight Triple g in writing well nobody has ever heard of it till now. And we all know you're a Canelo hater so we can't believe anything you say!
Where's the proof Canelo promised in writing to fight Triple g after the Khan fight?? I wanna see the contract!

Well he couldn't make the weight anymore so he dropped the belt and moved up. Fighters do that all the time when they outgrow their weight division.
                      Think about it dumbass!
