Just in case nobody ever told you Spence and Thurman are welterweights and Canelo is a middleweight. Canelo won't be fighting them anytime soon.

If anything being a free agent would be best. That haymon money pretty much gone and showtime aint giving him the same deal they gave froid.
      Dumbass thread really

Alvarez doesn't take 90% of the profits; he's responsible for 90% of the money that was generated by Golden Boy. Big difference.

Going his own way gives Alvarez control of his live gate and how the event is presented for PPV (on top of his control of the Mexican TV).

Oscar De La Hoya is a liability, personally and professionally; there are scores of folks who have simply refused to do business with Oscar.

Alvarez has no beef with Haymon (opening up that stable for possible fights), Alvarez has no beef with Showtime or HBO (Espinoza wouldn't piss on Oscar if he was on fire, after going back on the deal that was had to keep Alvarez on HBO), Alvarez has no beef with AEG, and Alvarez has no beef with Schaefer (or the financial folks who didn't have confidence in Oscar shepherding their money).

Canelo Promotions actually gets Alvarez to keep near all of the money, without the concern of having the person "in charge" being one bender away from wrecking everything.

Wrong again. Canelo KEEPS 90% of the profits from his fights. Why do you think he keeps resigning? He probably is responsible for more than 90% of Golden Boys revenues.

Canelo can still fight Haymon guys staying with Oscar if there was someone else over there that would be viable ppv and risk wise. He just fought Chavez Jr last year. They didn't even have to negotiate with Haymon. Just like if he wanted to fight Charlo or Hurd they could negotiate with DiBella or TGB but all of the big fights for Canelo are on the HBO side anyway.

That is why Jermall Charlo should go sign with Matchroom or GBP. Haymon doesn't have anything with him.

After this rematch Canelo can do a trilogy fight, face Danny Jacobs, face BJS. Showtime only has one middleweight of note which is Jermall Charlo who brings more risk like Andrade and not more money to the table than those 3 options I mentioned.

You should study up on how much $$$$ Canelo takes from GBP. 90% goes to him or to his Canelo Promotions which is for tax and sanctioning fees purposes. He has the best deal in boxing.

I know this is kind of off topic, but I wonder how the Nevada Dept of Revenue and the US Fed Dept of Revenue (IRS) tax/levie Canelo's earnings as a foreigner? Anyone savy to this kind of tax bracket or information??

haymon cant even get the american heavyweight champ to sell out against ortiz and hes done his best to kill any of the momentum that spence gained after beating brook. if you want to be a star, dont sign with haymon.

Once Golovkin knocks him out, you will never hear about Canelo Alvarez again.
