    Hearn makes a great point...

he was offered $4 million for an easy fight... YET he is getting far less money for a high risk fight which if he loses... his career is DONE!

Beyond that... what Wilder and Wilder fan boys don't understand, Joshua DOES NOT NEED Wilder.

Wilder is a belt... but AJ can easily make more than $10 million a fight fighting anyone.

He would not make much more fighting Wilder versus anyone else. In any case, there is more money in a Povetkin fight than Wilder.

Wilder is a nobody in the United States... he brings nothing to the table beyond his big mouth and pothead thinking and his belt. That is it.

to Wilder however, AJ is the necessary cash out....

Instead of demanding 50/50 or no fight, Wilder needs to get on his knees and beg AJ for a fight in the UK and get his payday and retire.
I agree with most of your post but if wilder loses his career isn't over. There's no shame losing to good fighters, especially with heavyweights. I would expect most heavyweights to be beaten a couple of times in a long career.

    • I am not a Wilder fan.

That said, why in the **** would anybody expect Deontay to go to England for anybody other than Joshua?

I checked the rankings and the WBC has Whyte ranked higher than Ortiz and the number 1 contender to Wilder's title. That seems wrong to me since Whyte has been KOed by AJ but Whyte is number 1 above Ortiz by the WBC. Still I think most fans consider Ortiz a better fighter than Whyte.

        • Right now Ortiz hasn’t done anything to earn the kind of reputation he has. His record is pumped with journeyman, his most notable wins are over Jennings and an aging Thompson, really there’s nothing to suggest he’s bringing something special on Saturday. In his favour are that he probably wants it, he’s durable and has sound boxing. Going against him is that he is slow and very old. Wilder is just going to be far to quick and athletic for the old man. I would love to see Ortiz give Wilder a tough night but if he does it says more about Wilder’s level than Ortiz.

Just to be clear, I meant if AJ loses the first fight, he would then have to accept whatever Wilder accepted (the first time around) in the rematch.

Shouldn't we be praising him for that?

              • If I was Joshua(and really wanted to be best)Id tell Hearn to shut the *** up.He comes right out and says we got Wilder surrounded.Clearly saying he DONT WANT Wilder next he wants Whyte to fight him and hope he gets lucky. And then at end he kinda catches himself and says "oh but we want Wilder too"Bu ll sh ite. This is what REAL champs do they fight the tough fights and the money will come.***in Hearn just doing ANYTHING to protect that gravy train.Cmon Joshua be your OWN man and step up and fight winner of this weeks fight and quit letting Hearn make you look like a punk. And I don't wannsa hear from the fanboys and mini promoters this man makes 20 mil per fight he is ALREADY set for life.No EXCUSE

                    • Well, we know who Hearn is rooting for this weekend. But, he’ll have a threat no matter who wins. Joshua will continue to avoid the winner of Wildzilla vs King Kong. Credits to Deontay for having the balls.
