I think Wilder has skill. It is his self discipline in the ring that leads to the ugly looping punches and the wide open stances that has left himself wide open to clean punches. If Gerald Washington had any power at all, he would have laid Wilder out with the straight punches he was getting in.

A focused Wilder is a decent boxer. I chalk up what we have seen from Wilder to the fact he respects none of his opponents. He better respect Ortiz. He needs to be solid defensively and working some smart offense, because Ortiz will turn this fight on one punch.

I have Wilder in a wide 12 round UD. But no outcome would surprise me.

What straight punches? I've seen this fighter a number of times and I don't remember even one right cross landing on his head

I was just about to say this until I saw your response. How can Washington's jab put Wilder down?

Just remember how he was bouncing everything he had off Dahaupas' chin, couldn't get him done.

his awkwardness works for him, maybe he meant speed since Ortiz is super slow

Sorry for the confusion. I was only referring to a "245lb muscular" Joshua in tip top shape advancing quickly forward towards Parker. I think Parker should be able to deal well with the endurance aspect of things - he moves fluidly for a heavyweight (like a middleweight), But constantly being hit by Joshua??! I dunno....most likely it will be lights out.
Lomas in a class by himself......Fury seems content being a C+ fighter - there's no similarity

I've seen the fight again and literally only 2 Washington right hands landed on Wilder's head, and they were on the clinch, no crosses

Agreed. These delusional folks want to act like Wilder was hurt at anytime against Washington. No, he wasn't. He started slow but warmed up by the 4th round and from then it was lights out - over the next round. This is despite the two surgeries he just had. Anyway, Wilder needs to keep winning and then they will be out of excuses soon.
