It is at the moment with two frauds bogging down our sport.

      Canelo is the saviour.

Boxing rises and falls like any sport, even the UFC is having a bit of a recession after losing its stars.

Boxing is a much more pure sport with a great history and no other combat sport / organisation can compete with the pure finess and skill displayed in boxing. A lot of people still can't get into two oiled up men rolling around the floor with each other for 15-25 minutes.

It's why promoters try so hard to make the next big thing. The biggest stars are Canelo, AJ, and GGG just barely in the western market. They are trying to make Loma the next big thing too and he is on his way if he keeps winning in style.

Not sure if the Americans are going to break out, even if their resume and skill merits fame - for some reason the USA just doesn't get behind boxing like they used to, whereas in the UK they do. I suppose in the UK it's because they basically just have soccer, whereas in the USA they have Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, Football etc. etc.

Boxing will never die. Purest sport there is and it will always have an appeal.

A few weeks back 2 UK Youtubers had an amateur boxing match and it got 25 million hits and sold 8000 tickets. That doesn't happen if they were playing tennis or football.

Boxing fans are not hard to please.
Give them One Time once in a blue moon,
and they'll say, "Who says boxing is dead?"

Boxing has it's lulls and ebbs and flows.

I don't expect casuals to sit through them all but hardcores should know the value of patiently following the sport.
