Great athlete, but not a boxing talent. I think he's father always knew this btw.

Remember that one episode of the Eubanks' TV show where he was talking to Lennox and said he didn't want his son to ever get into fighting, largely because he felt he would get taken advantage of.

A lot of what happened to him is the hype that people kept feeding - including Senior. As I fan of Senior I felt like slapping them both when he said Junior beats Floyd easily. Not from what I saw - I'd see a Gatti repeat after Junior gassed.

It's just so unusual to see someone reaching a high level with such a lack of basic skills.

I don't completely disagree. I can see why you'd pick him for a comparison. Both fighters were overhyped. Both relied on a key attribute to mask deficiencies in other areas. Eubank has his engine and Naz had his knockout power. Hamed was far more talented though. I think he spent too long defending that WBO title against second rate opposition and he made the mistake of buying into his own hype, so when he did get in the ring with better opponents there were some obvious flaws which he was eiter unwilling or unable to address. Notwithstanding those he was ten times the boxer Jr looked against Groves.
