Probably. But this thread is not about that.
It's about a boxing channel, based in North America, that covers everything boxing.
Not just PBC fighters or everything PBC, Showtime, etc.
It's a channel that talks about past, present, upcoming fights, meaning, it promotes all fights for free.
And since there's already HBO, SHO, ESPN,
such network might pick up fights from Europe and everywhere else.

Would be nice to have such a channel. It might have to rely on sponsors like Corona, etc.

The problem with that plan is that Showtime would still be looking to spend big money on boxing and that money would just go to somebody else instead. For Haymon to wind up with a pseudo monopoly of big time US boxing in the long term, he's got to make sure to not let new people into the game and to slowly choke off those already in the game.

It's the same reason he didn't create PBC world championships. Because then all of the WBC/WBA/IBF titles he monopolizes would suddenly be available to other promoters. Just as Showtime's budget would suddenly be available to other promoters if he left Showtime.

HBO's budget continues to shrink. It's being shared by several promoters who are holding on for dear life.

Top Rank is well funded and managed to get a hedge fund, ala Haymon, to finance their new business model. But ESPN is paying Top Rank very little. Top Rank is losing money on every single fight they do on ESPN. The plan, in theory, is that the ESPN exposure will turn their fighters into stars and then Top Rank will make their money back when they launch a subscription service in conjunction with ESPN. Remains to be seen if it works.

Because most american networks are not really about providing a quality network.

It's more about finding ways to screw each and every american out of the most amount of money possible. Comcast, our major cable provider was under investigation by the FBI

I use hulu live stream now

Let's just face the fact that the mainstream sports media will never going to cover boxing on a consistent basis.
Many fans don't even know who fought this week, will be fighting next, etc.

Is Sky the only cable network that televise boxing in the UK?
Is there any equivalent to the competition going in the US like HBO, SHO, ESPN, PBC?
