Duran suffered over one bad night his whole career.

But that was bull****. He got forced into a fight he wasn't ready for in terms of weight. He had to make weight in an extremely unhealthy way for that fight, which made him feel extremely sick, and then he got punched in the stomach a few times, which made him feel even more sick, so he bowed out. That fight really had nothing to do with Leonard or even quitting. They forced him into the fight when he wasnt ready, on purpose, so that the next big star (Leonard) could be born. It's the same reason they robbed Kovalev, same reason they robbed Boone and Castillo against Ward and Floyd respectively, same reason they waited for GGG to get old before making the Canelo fight.

They don't fix fights as much anymore in the ring because they've learned how to ensure the outcomes they want simply through timing and other variables (drug testing and so on).

But yeah, Duran and Rigo are quite different. One is entertainng, one isn't. One quit because he should have been in a hospital after what he had to go through, one quit while in peak shape. It's just different. But, I'd still like to see Rigo face the best guys at 118, 122, and 126. I wouldnt risk paying for a ticket, but I'd like to see those fights.

Its absurd for you to say he didn't deserve them,he was completely weight drained in the leonard rematch & then came back as strong as ever afterwards for another 2 decades because he was willing to work hard & at least only lost on pts in the 3rd rematch.
