Jacobs lost. You can't be outlanded, throw less punches, get dropped and spend the entire fight on the retreat and hope to win a close fight.

Round by round the fact remains the same. With that being said Jacobs did more than enough to warrent a rematch. He made the fight close enough that I felt nervous when the decision was announced. I think it could be argued that he's no worse than the second best middleweight in the world and based upon his comparative youth versus GGG I wouldn't argue too strongly against people who consider Jacobs to be the best middleweight in the world right now.

No one “deserves” a shot at the winner at this point. What we have are a bunch of fringe contenders who should be fighting each other but instead are fighting bums hoping ggg or Canelo gives them a pay day. The only one who deserves anything right now is bjs but that’s only because he has a belt.
