If you truly believe that, you don't know Mikey at all. He is very serious about eventually moving to 147 to fight the top guys. He may be successful, he may get embarrassed, but he's sure as hell going to try unless he ends up struggling at 140.

If Spence is still at 147 by the time Mikey gets there, that's a fight Mikey wants. The problem with Crawford is that he isn't with Haymon. So a Crawford fight isn't realistic. But that's not Mikey's fault. It's Crawford's fault for having an exclusive promotional agreement with a promoter who doesn't work with the stable that has all the top welterweights.

On this very sight on Sunday a video of Mikey was posted where he said he was going to fight Lipinets and then move DOWN to 135 for Linares or Lomachenko and then move back up to 140 after that. Moro said that because that's what Linares asked for. If Linares had asked for a purse bid at any time in the last two years, he would have gotten one. He was GUARANTEED a title shot in in FIRST fight back. He declined. He's fought over and over and over, each time, refusing to fight for the title. This has been going on long before Mikey was the champion.

Haymon is getting the WBC rankings ready so he can capture the WBC lightweight title when Mikey vacates. Check the top 5, Haymon has most of them. Haymon doesn't think Linares will fight Mikey, so he's been stacking the WBC rankings and ignoring the WBA rankings in that weight class.
