The guy has good victories over tough opposition, so I ask and please make a legitamate statement, Why do you hate Cotto? Is it the alleged glass jaw( which if you asked me it's probably the good glass maybe even fiber glass) Is it the opponents he's faced. Please explain

People hate a fighter that has a large following of ball fondlers. Hence why so many people direct hatred towards Pac-Man and Miguel Cotto... they are effectively all the Phillipines and Puerto Rico have respectively so they have large followings. -

I honestly dont know what the hatred is for. This is coming from a mexican boxing fan: Cotto is SERIOUS. He's beaten everyone he's faced. Came through and KO'd opponents after being hurt or KD. He's stepped up his comp over the past couple of years. Why hate? I think he's going to abuse Hatton if they ever fight, assuming Hatton isnt allowed to pull off half of his bull****.Comment

The hate is based mostly from the fans without a doubt. A lot of diehard fans and followers say really dumb **** inrelation to their favorite fighter to defend them and whatnot. You sometimes have to just let the things they say go right over your head and not take them seriously because a lot can just be ****** **** that makes you question the person's intellect. I'm a Manny fan though I feel I remain unbiased in most of my posts related to him. Though that's mainly because I'm not Filipino so I don't worship him as a God. I'm Puerto Rican and I love Cotto's style of all out brawl and action for the most part though I don't hug his nuts as a lot of the other PRs on this forum do. It's just a fan thing is the bottom line in the end.Comment

Most of the hate comes from his huge following and the fact that he has money behind him.
IF he was om Showtime or ESPN, everyone would love him.

Apparently I am also Boricua, but it doesn't mean I will put a blinfold and act like he doesn't have any flaws or is perfect. The only serious problem I see with Cotto, is that he cares to much of putting on a god show, thus the reason he leaves himself open. But the man can box there is no question about thatComment
