Benn was respected in America as a dangerous champion. It was a tragic fight, but his win over Mclellan was against a guy in the p4p top 10. That fight took a lot out of him though, he was in decline after that. He also went to the US to beat Barkley.

Jr would get outclassed by Degale just like on Sat, he hasn't got the footwork and balance to live with skilled boxers. Degale got beat by Truax, but Truax is better than Euabank, and also has a bit of power.
Degale has Olympic amatuer pedigree, and Eubank has **** fundamentals because he never had a proper amateur career. That's why he swings and misses all the time. Degale would box his head off.

I know of the g man fight. Over here he is not known as an all time great in that regard. He just isn't. He could walk unnoticed here. Now froch is better than him.

He's not an all time great, fair enough, but that's not what you said.
You said he wasn't a big name, which I totally disagree with.
Even Roy Jones when he was at 168 said he respected Benn, and that he'd be a tough fight. He was known in the US as one of the top super middleweights at his peak.
Regarding walking unnoticed in the US, I'm sure he could, as could most boxers from other countries who were world champions.
We're not talking about fame, I'm saying he was respected in world boxing when he was a champion.

I was talking about big name as in fame and actual skill level . So however u wanna slice it. But among us advance fans he is well known . Casual USA fans now a days probably not . Amir khan is probably the biggest active uk name in USA. If Joshua came over he would be an mega star.

Yeah, Eubank has a lot to work on if he is to get to any next level. He looked like an amateur against Groves.

Until Eubank gets himself a proper trainer i will not believe another word that comes out this fighters mouth.
I got ****** into believing the crap that he was spewing and was embarrassed with the fight that he put up.
He has the right physical attributes to go further but he needs the brain to become better.
Whats left for Eubank now at middle weight?? Not alot going by that loss.

Like I said, I'm not talking about fame. 'Fame and skill level' are totally unconnected, so it's not 'however you want to slice it' at all.

I took issue with you saying he wasn't a respected name in world boxing when he was a champion, which he definitely was.

How famous Khan or Joshua are today has got absolutely nothing to do with it. We are living in totally different times now with the internet anyway.

Amir Khan is well known in UK by casual fans, but he's not particularly respected right now in the boxing world.

Fame and respect are two different things.

I'm talking about Benn being a world class champion in his prime, one of the top 3 at super middleweight weight easily in the mid 90's.

If you were originally talking about just how famous he was, I wouldn't take issue, but I don't think you were.
