There are a lot of salty folks in here.. Dude beat the best guys in the division and took time off for his wedding and elbow surgery, suddenly people are going all out on him saying he is ducking Spence..

Porter and Swift at least have a reason to be salty, they both took Ls to Thurman. But why is everybody else salty? There's not enough salt to go around.

I still say Porter and Garcia should have to fight one another to see who gets the rematch with Thurman. Though Garcia should get it first seeing how he lost a belt to Thurman. Keith gets his tune up fight, but needs to fight a Top 3 WW before the year's end.

There's a reason he's undefeated (and will stay undefeated for a long time) and in everyone's mouth when half of y'all complaining on here won't get anywhere in life. Sad truth.

People don’t realize the real ducking are Porter and Garcia not calling out Spence. It is Thurman’s mandate to face Spence anyways, but not now as he’s been given time to come back. Even Spence knows this, and the fact that Spence wants it now proves he acknowledges the vulnerability of Thurman, plus Spence will continue making money. As Thurman said, if Spence is the truth, he ain’t going anywhere, so everything is fine.

Man forget Garcia and Porter, we need to get Vargas to call out Spence. Change it up. The IBF opportunity is there, and Thurman makes his point rather rationally, the guys he beat want another pay and less risk.

          Thurman is a Gee!

Thurman been out so long and the injury, he gets a tune up fight, as did Ward recover up to LHW...
I hear you all but I don't think anyone is mad at Thurman for taking a tune up sfter a surgery. That is completely understandable. What mine and most peoples problem is the fact that he will not confidently say he will fight Spence without the bag of excuses that only seem to give most the impression that he does not WANT to fight Spence at all. If he would just say 'im injured so i want a tune up and than im ready for Spence' thsn we would give him a pass. Its all the ifs ands buts that are turning us off.

I feel the same about Wilder vs AJ. These guys [Spence and Wilder] are champions. The notion that a champion needs to do more before he deserves to fight another champion is absurd. Gaining another title and unifiying should be motivation enough to take a fight. Anything else just makes it seem like they are just making excuses.

He pretty much also say s he doesn't have to fight Porter if the WBC doesn't mandate it. So he pretty much has said that he doesn't plan on facing a top WW unless he's forced by the WBA or WBC this year.

Thurman could be fighting tomato cans for all I care but the problem here is that his tune has changed drastically from just a year ago. He used to sound like a fighter. He was saying he wanted to fight the best and didn't care if it was on PPV or primetime. But nowadays he's sounding like a promoter/manager.

I dont want to see Thurman vs Garcia or Porter again. I was really looking forward to Vargas vs. Thurman, I hope that still works out.

Garcia and Porter should fight each other to determine who gets a rematch with Thurman. Thurman should fight: a tune up, than Garcia/Porter winner, than Spence.

Thurman has a point. He fought Porter and Garcia and won. They had their chance and lost. Now they must get in line for another shot. Meanwhile, Thurman is wise to give his elbow a test before he gets in with a top-tier fighter. People are tripping when they suggest he is a coward at this point. He hasn't had a single fight since the surgery. How well do you guys think someone can punch if their elbow is messed up?

Unless Crawford leaves Arum, I just don't see how he's going to end up fighting Thurman or Spence.
