Hekk even Kell Brook didn't take this long after TWO BROKEN EYE SOCKETS!! I think we all should agree that a broken eye socket is much worse than minor elbow surgery. Brook who fought at 147 moved up to 160 and challenged a top p4p fighter got inured and came back 8 months later to fight Errol Spence with no tune up fight in between to test his eye out. He showed a good account of himself lasting 11 rounds with a guy who some see as the best ww. Oh by the way Kell Brook beat Porter too in the US. Now here you go with Thurman scared @$$ needing two tune ups with guys who probably won't be top ten. The elbow surgery isn't/wasn't a major surgery!

DSG is #1. by the WBA, there has been rumors of a rematch with Lucas Matthysse, incidentally Lucas now holds the 'Regular' 147 lb. WBA title -- Thurman is the 'Super' champion and is going to need to face the boxer that is in possession of the 'Regular' title to consolidate, as such the rematch is a viable option for Garcia.

I dont know what other options Porter has other than Spence perhaps thats why he was calling out Danny.

I feel like the Thurman - Spence fight is at least a year out. I think Garcia - Porter happens first and they match the winner against Thurman. If Thurman wins then it's Spence. Risky for Thurman either way.

Porter & Garcia should fight each other next, for some interim WBC belt or whatever. Thurman is just not going to be fighting them next, he will fight some corpse in May them come back in 2019 at some point when he feels like it. Sucks. What would be awesome is if either Porter or Garcia said nah f*** it, Spence we want you next, but it just won't happen.

Garcia brings a decent pay check and ranking if Porter beats him. Plus Danny looks so beatable that most top guys want him. Even Spence is calling him out, Matthysse calls him out too along with Khan.

I really don't want to see Thurman rematch Porter or Danny but wouldn't mind if the faced each other and the winner face Thurman again.

But Haymon also has to make sure the Spence/Thurman winner has a big fight on the horizon. So it really wouldn't make sense for Porter AND Garcia to get their rematch before the Spence fight. One of them needs to be saved for after the Spence fight.

I would hope that after Spence Jr. vs. Thurman, the winner would target Terence Crawford! I also hope that if Spence Jr. beats Ugas, he would fight whoever Thurman doesn't (DSG or Porter).

You should hope that. It would be a great fight. I understand fans wanting to see Spence or Thurman against Crawford.

But please don't expect that fight to happen, because it's not going to happen. Crawford is exclusive to ESPN. Arum keeps things in house. Haymon keeps things in house. That fight is essentially impossible. So your hopes will end in disappointment.
