Speed which Margarito doesn't have. If you don't get that my reference to technically sound is just one reason why I don't think we should place a Margarito ceiling on Spence Jr who is still really getting started then I have nothing else to say.

You guys are correct I believe Spence does get hit more often than I would like but he usually gets the better of the exchanges IMO. We will just have to wait and see. Surely not limited by a Margarito ceiling, Spence has much time to improve.

Im not comparing them technically and I dont think anyone else is either. The comparison stems from the fact that Margarito was ducked by all the big name welters from 2005 to 2008. He was the longest reigning beltholder in the division and had a hard time securing a fight with the name fighters in that span.

Well, I think you have a few problems here.

#1 - Spence vs. Garcia would be far beyond anything a FOX budget could handle.

#2 - Garcia isn't ranked by the IBF.

#3 - Haymon is clearly lining Garcia to become unified WBC/WBA mandatory so that when he gets his next title shot, it'll fulfill two mandatory defenses at once.

#4 - Spence has been ordered to make a mandatory defense next.
