Does 10 Pounds Make a Difference in Sparring?

    Hey Guys!

I was wondering if you personally feel a difference in sparring a person who is 10 pounds heavier than you or not?

Lets just say that you and the other person are somewhat equally matched in skill and level.

I'm kinda of starting out and started sparring recently... I'm 118 pounds.

    Thoughts and comments appreciated!

no cause sparring is sparring its not a real fight usually you are sparring with people that have those type of weight advantages over you and vice versa its just work.

      It will do you good
I used to spar with my friend who weighs a lot lot more than me
      like 20/30lbs
but once I got used to his strength and learned how to roll and absorb a shot then it was all good

      Its all learning and experience

Nah man weight is an illusion, the powers that be use it to control us. Do you know how much we weigh in space? Go on, guess....

        Yep. ZERO!

In space we weigh nothing because there is zero gravity, and yet they want us to believe we 'weigh' something down here? Everyone should compete in the same 'weight class', it's just a way to protect their cash cows who are smaller

Not much. The skill level of the guy you spar with would be more important than ten pounds of weight difference up or down.

                Depending....

If the guy is better than you, and he's a mofo trying to knock you out, then you gonna feel the 10 pounds bro.

8 pounds smaller vs a better guy and look what happened to Rigo, he took a beating.

IN theory, but some guys in the gym try to knock you out in sparring, it's like a fight for them.

You often got that guy in the gym that nobody wants to sparr with, and EVEN if you are ready for war and start to beat him, he would go dirty and elbow you; rabbit punch and clinch like a ******.

Yeah you got some mean guys like that in boxing gyms, but most of the fighters are usually chill and just try to work on some technical.
