Charlo is his mandatory. That is how you force a fight that is otherwise politically impossible.

WBC would let Charlo to fight Jacobs, even if Hugo Centeno was the mandatory. We have seen many examples of avoiding mandatories, especially in WBC.

Thank you for proving my point. Canelo is obviously not available as he's fighting GGG May 5 and Jacobs obviously turned down the fight so he wouldn't breach his HBO contract, which is why Hugo was the next leading available contender.

If Jacobs wanted to fight Charlo for the interim title on March 3 on Showtime, the WBC would have been all for it, but HBO would have sued to stop the fight.

What did I lie about? Who in front of Hugo in the rankings was available to fight Charlo? Canelo? He's fighting GGG. Jacobs? He's got an exclusive HBO contract. Sanctioning bodies go down the list until somebody says yes. Hugo was the highest ranked fighter that said yes.

                      Your posts contradict each other.

When Jacobs faced GGG, Jacobs was fighting in Showtime, GGG on HBO. Then you said "it was mandatory".

But when Jacobs is mandatory for Charlo, they are fighting on different TV.

Shortly, if two dangerous fighters don't want to fight each other, then there are lots of excuses... TV, business, politics, etc.

If they really wanted to fight, the fight could happen despite many problems.
