I think Eubanks engine is nowhere ear as good as we have all been led to believe. Lots of boxers would have a good engine and finish fights without breaking a sweat if they were being fed clowns and not being hit back. Groves heavy handing really sapped him. He is advertised as the best engine in the game but even 2 weeks before we saw someone with a better engine in action in the same tourny, Gassiev. Bloody joke he is lol
If you're allowed to do what you want in the ring, it's easy to remain fresh because you can exert energy when it suits you i.e Eubank against his usual opponents where he postures for a far chunk of the round and the rest he leaps in with a barrage of shots.
His engine didn't look all that great last night when he wasn't able to do what he wanted. He looked more exhausted than Groves in the last part of the fight and getting sloppier. Groves remained sharp until the shoulder injury in the last round.Comment

Groves didn't show a lot of movement - but he showed excellent balance and ring generalship. Eubank Jr needed to give away the first couple rounds to assess Groves, but after that, he needed to slip inside and work the body in the middle rounds, then try and close the show in the later rounds.
I admit it's very easy to comment from afar, but Jr really embarrassed himself with this display. I agree with a previous commenter about the shabby corner work, and I really believe Jr needs to get away from his father as a trainer. He needs a Roach or someone who can improve his technical skills because he has the heart, chin, power and supreme conditioning.Comment
