I didn’t say that but I know other people did. However I didn’t think was going to win as I didn’t think Grover stamina or chin would hold up.

He is advertised as the best engine in the game but even 2 weeks before we saw someone with a better engine in action in the same tourny, Gassiev. Bloody joke he is lol
Yeah. To me a good engine is someone who can remain relatively fresh even when things are going all their own way.

If you're allowed to do what you want in the ring, it's easy to remain fresh because you can exert energy when it suits you i.e Eubank against his usual opponents where he postures for a far chunk of the round and the rest he leaps in with a barrage of shots.

His engine didn't look all that great last night when he wasn't able to do what he wanted. He looked more exhausted than Groves in the last part of the fight and getting sloppier. Groves remained sharp until the shoulder injury in the last round.

Groves didn't show a lot of movement - but he showed excellent balance and ring generalship. Eubank Jr needed to give away the first couple rounds to assess Groves, but after that, he needed to slip inside and work the body in the middle rounds, then try and close the show in the later rounds.

I admit it's very easy to comment from afar, but Jr really embarrassed himself with this display. I agree with a previous commenter about the shabby corner work, and I really believe Jr needs to get away from his father as a trainer. He needs a Roach or someone who can improve his technical skills because he has the heart, chin, power and supreme conditioning.

To me Eubank jr looked not in his best shape. He was slower than I used to see him. Maybe he looked bad due to the better opposition, I don't know. But he was physically not in good shape.

PS: I am not an Eubank fan.

he needs a better camp and better sparring partners, all the sparring videos I've seen of him were him sparring extremely overmatched guys.
