When the final presser happened, it appeared maybe Junior had won the mental war battle prior to the first bell. But George really triumphed. He constantly referred to him as 'Junior' throughout the build whilst exposing Senior's flaws and (lack of) ability as a supposed trainer/camp overseer.

Junior repeatedly mentioned the 'I want it more than him' jargon. It seemed appropriate that Groves mentioned that in his first line during the post fight interview just to rub it in: “It was about who wanted it most, I think, and I obviously wanted it most" .

Glad Groves showed him levels on the big stage but have no doubt Eubank will continue to be an arrogant t*sser on our screens for a few more years to come.

The surprising thing was he didn't have a game plan apart from trying to knock G out with every swing he threw. Most thought he would get in past Groves jab more than he did but Jr. just seemed content to stand outside and achieve nothing apart from getting frustrated.

eubank and his father are two arrogant jerk offs and if weren't for a sick gene in humans makes them think that some idiot who runs jumps makes a basket catches and hits a ball is more important then their own families those two would be hanging off the back of a garbage truck and really contributing to society

I don't think he brought his power up to 168. Groves is elite at 168, and now Eubank has lost both times he truly steps up to face the best. If he didn't talk so much s*** people wouldn't hate on him so much. Great performance from Groves though.

Props to the Old Man for burying his pride and being honest. Also, neither Jr nor Groves are elite and never will be at this point. It's something you see early on. Thats not a bad thing. As long as they can put on a show. Gatti-Ward, Corrales-Cstillo, Boom Boom-Bramble etc.

THANK YOU! I got ripped on another board because I said that about Benn and Jrs Papa. They could have never handled their peers THe were HOF guys but man the top tier over here would crush them. And McClellan (God bless him) was not the top of the heap.

I think Eubanks engine is nowhere ear as good as we have all been led to believe. Lots of boxers would have a good engine and finish fights without breaking a sweat if they were being fed clowns and not being hit back. Groves heavy handing really sapped him. He is advertised as the best engine in the game but even 2 weeks before we saw someone with a better engine in action in the same tourny, Gassiev. Bloody joke he is lol
