When Has Spence ever been impressive?
Guy gets talked about like he's Sugar Ray yet the cherrypicker hasn't even faced a live opponent a yet...

Stopped Peterson, something Bradley and Garcia couldn`t do. Stopped Algieri, Khan and Pacquiao couldn`t. First guy that stopped Bundu. Spence`s power is more impressive than Thurman`s.

Let's see... Floyd was what 45-0 at the time and Thurman around 24-0. Floyd had already proven his worth fighting big names. Thurman hadn't beaten anyone. Floyd was the biggest star in boxing. Thurman was green and not really known. Floyd had lots and lots of options to pick from. More proven fighters or bigger money fighters. Floyd was not mandated to fight Thurman. So tell me why Floyd should have picked Thurman for a fight? He was a nobody.

Compare that to Thurman vs Spence. Both have belts. Thurman's best wins are against Porter, who Spence beat the guy that beat him. And Garcia, and Spence destroyed their 2 common opponents. Thurman isn't a megastar compared to Spence, like Floyd was to Thurman. Thurman doesn't have any huge money fights to take instead of choosing Spence. They are only 5 fights apart.

Porter lost to Brook. Spence stopped Brook.
Porter beat Lo Greco by UD. Spence stopped him in 3.
Garcia arguably lost to Peterson. Spence stopped Peterson.
Garcia beat Sam Vargas in 7. Spence stopped Vargas in 4.
Thurman went 12 rounds and was lumped up by the 40yr old Bundu. Spence stopped Bundo.

So Spence seems to be more than a quality opponent. Better names aren't on his resume because they all find excuses.

Hmmm. You pick apart Spence's resume and discredit him but Thurman fought Porter who isn't an A level fighter and was beat more decisively by Brook. He beat little ass Garcia that just moved up in weight and beat nobody of note at 147. Garcia barely beat Peterson. Who else has Thurman beat again?
