I believe Thurman when he says he wants Spence he just wants to be at his best. I hope he fights Garcia or Porter later in 2018 then we get the Spence fight early in 2019.

I started following Thurman after seeing him live on the Broner-Escebdo undercard. Hell may have only been in a six or eight rounder that night. But he was talented, and seemed like a likeable kid. And he’s done nothing to change that opinion......up until the last couple months.

The way he’s handled this Errol Spence situation has made him look like a complete clown. I don’t think anybody in their right mind has a problem with him wanting a tune-up fight. But there’s absolutely no reason why he can’t fight Spence this fall or winter. And from everything that he’s said, he doesn’t really wanna fight anybody with a pulse at any point in 2018. Which I mean, if he isn’t gonna fight Spence, I don’t really care about any of the other “decent” alternatives. I was at the Garcia fight. Don’t need to see that again. I could take a Porter rematch. But between rather seeing Thurman in the ring Spence and Porter’s unwatchable style. I’d only be able to take it with some high powered pain meds.

At the end of the day, it’s Thurman’s career. And he has to do what he thinks is best. But if he’s not gonna compete at the highest level. The least he could do is STFU until he’s ready to.

IDK why Thurman needs 2 tune-up fights this year surely with all the training and sparring inbetween fights and in camps would be enough to shake the rust.

Al Haymon is going to force Thurman to fight Spence one way or the other. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Thurman opt'd out of his contract with Showtime and went to Top Rank or some **** to avoid Spence.
