I think Garcia’s best bet would be to change trainer and try to add something to his artillery
At this point he’s been figured out and not to hard to solve

It didn't put Garcia back in what mix? His previous fight was a close, split decision loss to Thurman. That fight kept him in the mix for a rematch with Thurman. Danny will most likely fight Spence though. No one ever thought DSG was the p4p king. But he can hang in there and keep it close with anyone and everyone. And more times than not, he finds a way to win too. He's still in the championship mix. Especially considering Crawford isn't allowed to fight the best wws.

If being figured out is a close, split decision loss to Thurman and a ko win, then most fighters would love to be figured out.

I don't see why all you haters feel the need to hate. He lost a split decision to Thurman. That means he has been figured out and needs to find a new trainer, and switch up his style. Get the f outta here with your hatin.

      rios needs to retire.

      Good entertainment.
Kudos to Jim Gray, Angelo got nowhere near the mike! Danny went ****** as well.

Bam Bam and Ortiz might need to retire but a final showdown needs to take place.

      • At first, I wasn't going to comment on this fight because I thought that it was both meaningless and pointless to do so but now I am. While I congratulate Danny Garcia on his victory; However at the same time his win didn't prove ****.

He only proved that he could defeat a man who was slow and half the man he once was; Which is shopworn, shot and washed up. I mean the fight was a set up from the beginning.

It was to showcase the coward DSG boxing skills. Rios never stood a chance of winning this fight, which was he was handpicked/cherry picked in the first place.

He would never in a million years perform like that against the elites of the division like: Thurman, Porter, Spence or even Terence Crawford for that matter; Which is why he had been avoiding those guys.

To keep it real; Swift is the weakest link at the elite welterweight level. Hell even Keith Thurman conceded that point. He is just too slow in hand and feet to be even competitive against those other guys I've mentioned.

How often does he fight anybody good? Once every four years? C'mon Dazed, I know he's your boy and all but even you can concede that he can step up his level of competition sometime.

Since the Matthysse fight, seven out of his last eight opponents were all handpicked. If that's not cowardly then what do you call it then? That's a fact one can not deny. This is not personal for me but professional.

Danny is an experienced veteran in this game and it's time that he start conducting himself like one. He is no longer a prospect. Therefore, his handlers doesn't need to hold his hand and bring him along slowly.

Always interesting to hear someone behind an anonymous name on message board call a world champion a coward. The irony isn’t lost on me.

I am sorry you feel that way DAZED but it is what it is. In addition, I apologize for the coward label but the facts remain. Seven out of his last eight opponents have all been handpicked. I can't make this stuff up. It's on record.

Speaking of record, how many pound for pounders have fought 12 past or present world champs and faced the very best fighter in each of two divisions?

lmao you do realise they handpick 'names' so clueless guys like you can defend him?

' but he fought an ATG morrales doe' yeah who's career had ended 5 years previously.

' look at all the names on Garcia's record'

' he says he wants to fight spence'

Garcia has zero intention of fighting Spence, this is what Team Garcia do, pad the resume with these washed up names and cherry picks. and then once every 4 years they will fight a live opponent and lose. then they build him back up again and he will lose again.

Even the cherrypicks and handpicked opponents still beat him, herrera schooled him

One of the very best in the two divisions he had fought recently was Keith Thurman and he lost. The other was Amir Khan where he won. Now as far as the other 12 past or present champions are concerned; They all look good on his resume but any objective fan know that he fought them all at an opportune time because many of those past champions were either a lot older than him or damaged goods; Meaning they were not at their physical peak Like: Judah, Morales, Malignaggi, Guerrero, Campbell, Holt, Rios, Herrera, Peterson even Matthysse. In addition, the only present world champ he has ever defeated was Amir Khan. The rest were all for vacant world titles.
