The dream died. He's shown he can't build these guys into stars. The viewing figures for PBC are trash, in UK you have the whole country talking about groves v eubank who let's face it aren't elite fighters. Haymon can't generate much interest in his fighters, that's just a fact.

Same percentage as every other manager or promoter. As always, Haymon is held to a double standard.
Where were the threads bashing Arum when Postol didn't fight for over a year? Or Andy Ruiz didn't fight for over a year (and still counting)? Or Felix Verdejo didn't fight for over a year (and still counting)? Or Jerwin Ancajas only fought once in 2016? Or Manny Pacquiao only fought once last year? Or Jessie Magdaleno only fought once last year? Or Jose Benavidez didn't fight for a year and a half? Or Konstantin Ponomarev only fought once last year? Or Nicholas Walters didn't fight last year at all? Or Trevor McCumby didn't fight last year at all?
Haymon delivers more big fights than ANYBODY. But because he's held to a double standard, instead of being praised for delivering more big fights than anybody, he's criticized because you believe he could have delivered even more. Do you realize how silly that makes you look? How many potential superfights haven't happened in several years now?
He's made one defense so far. He defended against another world champion in his division who vacated to fight him. Jeff Horn's defense was against Gary Corcoran. Again, the double standard.Prime example is how his other top Welterweights are allowed to duck Errol Spence Jr.
He's delivered the biggest welterweight fights almost every year for many years. It will continue to be the case for many years more. Once again, instead of praising him for delivering the biggest fights, you whine and moan because you believe he should deliver even more.He has the ingredients to put together a super series at that weight but it ain't gonna happen. Why?
Last year, Haymon had his top two welterweights, the undefeated WBC champion and undefeated WBA champion fight each other to unify. He sent his top young welterweight overseas as a mandatory to fight the IBF champion in his hometown.
His top welters have been in tough fights and will continue to be in tough fights. Thurman fought Porter and has to fight him again. The winner will have to fight Garcia at some point. The big unification with Spence likely happens next year.
Haymon doesn't rush things, which is why he's able to deliver the most big fights year after year after year, with no end in sight.
You ***** about Haymon's fighters not fighting more often because he actually has fighters you want to see. When other stables are inactive, you don't care because you don't care about those fighters.
So Haymon must be doing something right that you actually know who his fighters are and want to see them.Comment

Yet the trolls can't stop talking about them. Interesting. Where are all the threads complaining about Golden Boy's 14th most well known fighter? Oh, that's right, nobody's heard of them or cares.
Yet Haymon, who supposedly can't build stars, has this site obsessed with his roster day after day after day.
Deontay Wilder, Adonis Stevenson, Badou Jack, James Degale, Andre Direll, Jermell Charlo, Jermall Charlo, Erislandy Lara, Keith Thurman, Errol Spence, Adrien Broner, Mikey Garcia, Leo Santa Cruz, Carl Frampton, Gary Russell Jr, etc are some of the most well known fighters in US boxing.
Haymon has virtually complete control of America's #1 boxing network and largest boxing budget. That network continues to pour more and more money into the sport and has turned HBO boxing into a dying shell of what it once was.
If Haymon didn't have stars, nobody would care about what he's up to, nobody would talk about him on this site, nobody would spend their time trying to convince themselves that nobody cares about his fighters.
Think about how much time and energy on this site is devoted to trying to tear down Haymon and his stable. Why would people be doing that if he didn't have any stars? Where are the threads obsessing over Main Event's 13th most important fighter? Or Star Boxing's 17th most important fighter?
Always a double standard with Haymon. Always.Comment

Haymon controls American boxing and American boxing probably has the lowest levels of interest in it that it's ever had. That says it all.Yet the trolls can't stop talking about them. Interesting. So where are your threads blaming Top Rank and Golden Boy for killing interest in American boxing?
The most viewed fights in the US in decades have all been Haymon fights. Millions have watched Haymon fights in recent years that weren't watching boxing before. So you can't blame him for the low levels of interest. This is the landscape he's inherited and he's investing a lot of money to try to repair the damage that was done before he arrived.Comment
