That decision was disgusting! Even though, I applaud Ortiz on a very spirited effort and had picked him to win; He yet still lost this fight tonight. Devon Alexander was robbed and should have been awarded the victorious decision. The fight wasn't even close. The official judging in Texas is partial.

Anyone with decent power makes Ortiz crumble the first solid shot they land.

Rios, Garcia, Porter, Thurman, Spence, and anyone else I forgot to mention would stop him.
Bingo! You hit the hammer on the nail. Devon is not a huge puncher but only a twelve round fighter.

Virgil is a horrible commentator dude is pro black whenever a black fighter faces a non black fighter, they need to get rid of him.

I had Alexander winning by a point so a draw to me was not the worst thing in the world.

Partial to what? A fighter moving forward?

I gave the fight initially to Devon Alexander but it was close. So when a majority draw was called my pops and my brothers gave it a 2nd look (after Garcia vs Rios of course).

I for one saw the draw!

WOAH, what in the ****? After the last round ended I just went out for a smoke because it was a given that Alexander won. Who were the 3 judges...Laurence Cole? Texas is a joke. This fight wasn't even close or competitive.

Havent seen the fight but as i read comments most of you guys saying Devon clearly won the fight. Poor man Devon, these guys put their health on table and judges who never wore pair of gloves are destroying this sport.

I hate to say this but it's the truth. They are partial to fighters of Mexican descent; Which is nothing wrong with it. However, it's the pink elephant in the room.

You can date it back to the Whitaker/Chavez bout in 1993 when Pernell Whitaker was robbed of his victory over Julio Cesar Chavez in San Antonio, Texas.

One can have their favorite fighters but when you are judging a professional prizefight you are not supposed to be subjective in your judging.

Alexander landed the flashier, harder, cleaner punches throughout the fight. While Ortiz was moving forward eating punches.

Moreover, it's called effective aggressiveness and no disrespect to Victor but he wasn't in the least bit effective coming forward. His punches lacked the normal snap and pop on them and additionally, the explosive power he once had was now a thing of the past.

Texas boxing always playing games with their robbing bull****. It’s always something, like letting Chavez Jr use illegal subtances or robbing some American when they fight a Mexican there. Most notably Whitaker vs Chavez. Smh.
