It all depends on what your cup of tea is. IMO Crawford has a more complete classical boxing style than Loma has, more power and more dog in him. Loma is more defensively blessed, awkward and far more athletic.

Both have a legit claim to the throne, but both are also heading into new weight classes. We will see how they handle it. Both of them are going to have a hard time landing meaningful fights at this point as Lightweight and Welterweight are heavily populated by Haymon fighters.

IMO Canelo is #1. but all this P4P **** is all subjective anyway but to brush off other people as racially bias if they dont agree with you is nonsense.
He's a piss poor poster. He brought race into it and his boy lost already, lmao.

Flip a coin, 50/50 for me. I think 2018 will be more of the same. Each will meet or exceed expectations.

I think it's Lomachenko and should be quite unanimously. Of course, it's all subjective and you can argue any top 5 guy at number one if you really wanted. However, Crawford doesn't have wins as good as Walters, Rigo, and Russell to rank him over Loma. Plus I feel that both are skilled but Loma clearly is shining against the rest of the sport. Also, Canelo and Golovkin have clearly superior resumes. Keith, who also holds a better resume, is only below Crawford because of his inactivity. I give a lot of preference to resume in pound for pound because I feel it's the best metric to rank guys, the "eye test" can be deceiving.

          I personally have it.

          1. Lomachenko
          2. Golovkin
          3. Canelo
          4. Crawford
          5. Keith Thurman

Lomaputa has the better resume but Crawford is the better fighter.

I'm biased towards boxer punchers though. Terence Crawford, Juan Francisco Estrada, Mikey Garcia, Naoya Inoue, Ca$hnelo. Beautiful boxing by these guys.

Loma gets my vote as number 1. Crawford is a 147 pound boxer now and should be rated as a 147 pound boxer on a pound for pound best list. Crawford should not be rated above Spence pound for pound unless you think he can beat Spence. I think Crawford is the 2nd best welterweight in the world and would lose to Spence. Loma is a 130 pound champion who is moving up to 135 pounds. I believe Loma would beat any 135 pound boxer in the world. My top 5 pound for pound boxers are Loma 1st, GGG 2nd, Spence 3rd, Crawford 4th and Canelo 5th. I am not asking anyone to agree with my list or change their list. Pound for pound best lists are just the opinion of the person making up the list and can't be proven right or wrong unless the boxers in question fight each other. Therefor there are no right or wrong lists but only different lists.

Unified champion at 140 and a 2-weight champion without catchweights or dragging 37 year old opponents up 2+ weight classes.

Russell win was solid, no doubt, but he's never done anything before or after. If he ever fights again..it's against TBD. So there's no real gauge there.

                  Walters win was good.

Rigo win has a large asterisk over it, but he did make Rigo quit - no doubt.

As I said in my original post, it's an "either/or" case. Both guys are rock solid and have dominated every fight they've been in. TC has been caught/hurt before and Loma has lost before/been savaged.
