Yeah good luck with that, you're going to need it.
Crawford is not supposed to be attracting the buys. This is Arum being smart - PAC will attract X amount of casuals who will all get exposed to a new American fighter most have never heard of before - Crawford, looking spectacular. When Crawford next headlines he will do better because of this upcoming ppv.

If he can score two spectacular KOs over Horn and Pacquiao in 2018, he'll establish himself as the main player at WW so long as Uncle Al keeps Thurman and Spence away from each other.
      exactly - agree totally

        No, it’s bad for both.

This double-header being on regular ESPN would do much more for his career than a fight on PPV. Wasn’t that why the ESPN deal was supposed to be a good thing in the first place?

Money is great for Crawford's career. That's why they call it prizefighting.

Yeah, I’m sure he’s going to make a killing with this Mayweather-type PPV bonanza.

What danger is there exactly? I don't think a lot of people understand the business of boxing. Granted a large part of the problem is people want fighters to have maximum ability to get the most money for their fights while wanting them to just fight which are two entirely different things & what creates this type of issue.

But basically the thing is if ESPN is offering Arum x million to put this fight on ESPN, but Arum feels like he can make x million + y more money by putting this on PPV. Thus it makes more sense to put the fight on PPV.

Despite my dislike of Arum I like that he's super basic like this with decisions. He's not thinking about next year (this mofo could die any day now ffs), he's thinking about the math of this situation vs that situation. And if PPV gets him more money & is more likely to get him more money cuz you can never be 100% sure with PPV then its a mfing PPV.

Let's see what his paycheck for Horn looks like. He got $2M for Indongo on ESPN.

That PPV is going to do TERRIBLE as it SHOULD! Not even ESPN Promoting it is going to help it!

His paycheck for Horn would be an increase anyway. There’s so much wrong with this event, I don’t know where to begin, but it wouldn’t be how good it is for the ones lining their pockets.
