When GGG was blasting fools I wanted him to man up and fight Ward instead of calling out guys 1-2 weight classes lower. We ALL know Ward would of EMBARRASSED him. Unlike you, I actually watch boxing. I don't think 8-4 rounds for Golovkin is absurd or out of line. I could even score it 7-5 for Golovkin, which implies a fairly close fight, but I don't think Alvarez took it any time I've watched the fight.

I don't think Alvarez "ran" or anything like that so I dunno why you're even bringing that up. It was a competitive fight where I thought one guy did the better work and clearly won. Alvarez did land the bigger and flashier punches, but he didn't do enough of that to convince me.

Didn't want it with ward and he would've lost. Doesn't make canelo look any better for dropping his wbc belt instead of facing ggg. And yes, Canelo has a better resume, that's the benefit of being a popular fighter who people don't fear. Aside from probably lara, none of Canelos big opponents were going to face ggg. How the heck does Canelo have a better resume than Golovkin? He may have fought a couple of guys with more name recognition. Floyd and Cotto but Cotto was s shot fighter and Floyd embarrassed him. How did Canelo avoid fighting either of the Charlo brothers by the way?
