I remember the Watson fight, it was good guy bad guy, Chris being the bad guy. The aftermath of that fight for Chris was insults, verbal attacks, hate mail, a pariah.
Junior suffered similar in his fight with Nick Blackwell.
There is NO malice or else bad intended by him for stating that the referee should do his job after all, it was early intervention that may have saved both men. It may sound selfish or even an attempt to favour Chris junior with the ref but, he does say. “Both men” which shows it NOT to be the latter.
