how the hell can people hate so much on lomachenko and say their a boxing fan in the same breath. His boxing is Beautiful his opponents are not cans with only 11 fights, he lost to a damn VETERAN in his SECOND fight get that through your head SECOND fight, beat an experienced thai fighter with ONE HAND, Outclassed the supposed FASTEST HANDS in boxing, made 3-4 world class fighters QUIT in a row...like WTF

A prospect moving into contender status usually needs 15-20 fights before he fights for a title. Loma fought for a title in his second fight and won the title in his third, that's pretty impressive.

From your list, the only interesting fight is Mikey. Crawford and Pacquiao are too big. Linares and Easter are overrated.

2) How old (and active) will Manny be by the time Loma is a WW?

I cant see Lomo going up to 147 being he was next to the fraud mikey Garcia and Lomo was a lot smaller . garcias head looked twice as big

Honestly his resume is okay so far, perhaps a little overrated. Personally I won't be impressed until he beats a Mike Tyson-esque talent and threat, such as Cletus Seldin

Man you are trying to get Loma killed. Have a heart. Nobody gets in the ring with Cletus and survives to tell about it. Sure his last fight was not great, but he was battling Cancer during camp, had two heart attacks, and then had to drain 3 quarts of blood to make weight.

Yeah, I think people are failing to grasp this and have already written his qualities off and his career due to some emotional and irrational feelings. It's causing them to make a prejudiced opinion to not enjoy his fights and not view him objectively.

Proper perspective is required. Let's say Lomachenko had 10 fights before he fought for his title it would be very difficult to not be impressed with what he's shown so far. Absolute dominance in every victory (maybe he's lost two rounds at the most since his 2nd fight), some solid/good/very good wins against multiple world champions and unbeaten fighters thus far. He's doing things that have rarely if ever been done in the sport and he should be applauded. On top of that he's an incredibly well rounded fighter with a ton of skill and no major weaknesses.

What are people expecting of a guy of less than 20 pro fights?

Lemonchenko stans are not good for boxing and are a major annoyance!

Loma is a solid fighter but his stans are outta control, I think Loma took some of Kov and GGG fans after Ward an Canelo fights!

The irony if Manny goes out the way DLH did against him. A great fighter taking on a prime pound for pound fighter in his prime at a weight he hasn't made in ages. The similarities are eerie.

Wouldnt be surprised if Pac quits also somewhere around round 9 after realizing Loma is too fast too sharp and too crafty for him as this stage.

I'm a Loma fan

And while what he's done in 11 fights is impressive. He's wasn't a usual young prospect just starting the pro ranks

He started late at 25-26 and had a crazy amateur pedigree so him jumping right into the mix shouldn't be considered anything special because he didn't need any seasoning

His resume is impressive but also believe some of it is Top Rank smoke and mirrors match making

To me his best win is GRJ. The Rigo win isn't all that and shouldn't be looked at as a great win. Rigo was old as sh.it, inactive and had to jump up 2 weight classes. It's a great name but that's about it. ( It's like how when De La Hoya was being built up he was feasting on past prime legends )

His other good name Walters was inactive, ballooned up in weight and hasn't been heard of since

He shouldn't be getting soundly thrashed by a journeyman with like 17 loses and a bunch of draws.....

And other guys have won titles early in their career too.
Like guys from Japan and Thailand. Learn some boxing kid.
