He clearly doesn’t have the mental strength to overcome adversity.
In addition, yes, I get all of that; The blood, guts and glory of the sport. However, there is something called life outside of boxing. The man has to think about his future, family and children.
How would he be able to earn a living and provide for his family if he is blind? To do so otherwise, in my judgement would have been a act of selfishness.

All this whining about how will he earn a living? Is bias sky sports manufactured BULL****, Brook has earned millions in this sport, why are you acting like he’s the victim here? ALL fighters have to earn a living the majority don’t earn what Brook earned against Spence in their entire careers, put them in the same position as Brook was would they take a knee and QUIT like a b*tch???

You can’t expect to enter the ring and not sustain injuries, it’s the nature of the beast. If you’re more worried about other things this isn’t the sport for you. When you’re in the middle of battle all you should be concerned with is WINNING the fight NOT looking for a way out.

Spence came on later in the second half of the fight and started to press more and got the late stoppage. However, Brook fought valiantly and went out like a true soldier and champion in my opinion. He knew when he was defeated and over matched and had the presence of mind to shut it down.
He could have easily vacated his title by forfeiting it to Spence but no he had the balls to step in there and defend it by forcing Spence to take it from him.
Sometimes, I just don't get you boxing fans. What more do you all want? He gave the best performance he could have given under the circumstances and yet ya'll want even more.
You guys won't be satisfied until a fighter loses an eye or his beaten within inches of his life while on life support.

Taking a knee and QUITTING is “fighting valiantly” is it?😂😂
Pathetic.

If his vision was compromised there was no way he could of won that the fight. He could've gotten seriously injured. So what was the point of him continuing with a fractured eye socket and potentially getting that eye put out; Just to prove to boxing fans like you that he's a tough guy?

Imagine Diego Corrales had just “had enough” in round 10 vs Castillo🤔🤔
As I said REAL fighters continually fight through much worse.

Eddie Alvarez and Anthony Pettis have both done it relatively recently in MMA also.
