Tom Loeffler seems like a genuine guy. Dibella was compelling in the Maravilla documentary about Sergio Martinez. The slimiest is obviously Don King.Comment

Ask hopkins what he thinks of Dibella.
"This fight means a lot to me," said Hopkins, who has hammered DiBella mercilessly during the buildup. "I got a chance to beat Jermain Taylor and also foreclose on Lou DiBella's company, because his company relies on Jermain Taylor. When I beat Jermain Taylor, I shut down Lou DiBella's company, so I get two knockouts in one night."
Hopkins told several reporters that while DiBella was still an HBO executive, he had extorted $50,000 from him in exchange for giving him a slot on a boxing telecast.Comment

jimmy burchfield has a good rep in the northeast and is a very nice guy.
so does lou dibella. he's a little more gruff than burchfield but he's as honest as you'll find a major promotor.
i think the short story is that we're better than the rest of you up here. sorry, but i'm really not sorry.Comment

Lou DiBella, Richard Schaefer, Sampson Leikowitz(sp) and Tom Brown seem to have reputations as honest promoters. And, there's nothing that's been said to throw dirt on Floyd's or Cotto's companies either, or Dmitry Salita. Joe DeGuardia (Star Boxing) would also be in the conversation, were it not for the Chris Algieri situation.
Folks give the man stick, but even Eddie Hearn has built a reputation for being an honest promoter.Comment

But in all seriousness, it might be Don King.
I mean, he's like Trump in that he's soooooooo full of crap that you know not to trust him up front as opposed to being taken by surprise like some other promoters *cough cough* Bob ArumComment
