Comments Thread For: Ohara Davies Explains He Felt Used, Abandoned Over Villain Role

From now on, Ohara Davies wants to be recognised for his exploits in the ring rather than his antics on social media and at press conferences. His charge sheet has been well documented, but the focus of Frank Warren's recent recruit is now about the business of boxing and, as he explains in his first exclusive Fighter Diary, he has perhaps been a little bit misunderstood all along

Will always cheer this guy on, hopefully he can get himself a title at some point.

What BS! He's a grown man, why is he making out as if Matchroom made him act a villain?
He made mistakes but it's all his own doing!

I will be very surprised if he wins a world title.

Simply hasn't got the mentality when it looks like he's losing. Plain to see vs Taylor. Terrific range, but Taylor laid the blueprint for others at a world level to beat him.

Od is really starting to irritate me now. Bottom line is he apologised for the comments he made. It wasn’t until after someone pointed out tommy coyle had issues with the sun for a different reason he tried to back track and say his comments were misinterpreted

grown man who can make decisions for himself and has done that, as it's gone too far hes now blaming people rather than taking full responsibility. Draw a line under it and just box.

Frank knows that British beef sells, and he has Flanagan, Nurse, Catterall and now Davies, 4 of the top 5 fighters at 140 in Britain to fight each other, with Taylor being the #2 behind Flanagan. No doubt we will see Davies in with Nurse, and then maybe Catterall before the winner fights Flanagan or something, smart move and fan friendly fights, pretty much what he is doing at 126 with Frampton, Warrington, Selby combo.

He chose the act because he wanted to. He's a big WWE fan as well, he played the part.

It wasn't a bad idea, it works for some. He just didn't seem to be able to pull it off.
