Danny has a point. He himself certainly doesn't like taking on two tough opponents in a row.

If Danny had punched during the fight as much as he has talked after it, he may have actually defeated Thurman.

Can you believe the hypocrisy and irony of this bum? Did he ever give Herrera a rematch? What about Lamont Peterson? He never gives rematches to opponents after receiving a gift from the judges by way of either a close or controversial decision.

Lol Good point. But in all fairness, people tend to see things from their perspective. Doesn’t matter to me what Danny thinks, though. He clearly lost the Thurman fight. And he’d lose again. I wouldn’t mind seeing a rematch to confirm my beliefs.

I agree. He just wasn't active enough. Once Thurman buzzed him in that first round he became very tentative and gun shy; As if he was afraid of releasing his hands for fear of being countered.

For the first nine rounds Danny did next to zero. Even while Thurman was squaring up and standing flat-footed against him in the center of the ring. Keith didn't start to move until the last three rounds of the fight.

Therefore, he has no one else to blame but himself.

I thought Keith was pretty wary of Danny’s power as well. He could’ve been more active himself. I imagine he’d be more so in a rematch. I think it’s worth it.

You are right. He was. It was a very tactical fight. He knew that Danny was a dangerous counter puncher who was attempting to time the perfect punch and therefore, he played it safe by holding back his punches a lot. However, he clearly won the fight in my opinion just on landing the cleaner punches alone.

Sure. I wonder how much that claimed injury factored into it. That encounter with Porter was a dogfight. Garcia...not so much. A rematch may promise to be more explosive. I’d like to see it. It looks like Danny is pressing for one. Why not?
